Aaron Berg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Guelph. His current research interests include the observation and modelling of soil moisture spatial and temporal variations and understanding the relationships of these variations on land-atmosphere coupling. He has recently established two regional scale soil moisture observatories for the validation and application of land surface parameterization schemes, validation and calibration of retrieval algorithms for satellite-based soil moisture observations and for the development and application of land surface data assimilation approaches.
