John Fyfe is a Researcher Scientist at the Canadian Center for Climate Modelling and Analysis and is Adjunct Professor, School of Earth and Ocean Sciences, University of Victoria. His current interests are in high-latitude climate variability, predictability and change. He is a lead author of the IPCC Fourth Assessment report with specific responsibility for assessing the predictive capability of current coupled climate models. He was similarly involved in the recently published Arctic Climate Impacts Assessment (ACIA). As well, Dr. Fyfe is a theme leader in the highly successful Canadian Climate Variability Research (CLIVAR) Network with specific responsibility for undertaking and directing research on seasonal, interannual and decadal time-scale variability.
