Mersea Metrics

GOAPP researchers need a comprehensive set of metrics to use in evaluating the performance of ocean simulations. The document entitled "Integrated System Design and Assessment: list of internal metrics for the MERSEA-GODAE Global Ocean: Specification for implementation" is provided, with permission, as background documentation of metrics that are used to evaluate ocean models. These metrics have been endorsed by the European community and GODAE partners. There are advantages in having common diagnostics that are upgraded to reflect new quantities and/or areas of interest to the user community.
